Having previously undertaken a variety of electrical works for the care home, in 2019 DSA Electrical were contracted to install infrastructure required for a new acoustic monitoring system. In a typical commercial or industrial environment, this would be a straightforward installation. However in a healthcare and domestic environment,
special consideration needs to be given to Health & Safety and the operational sensitivities of providing 24 hour care to vulnerable residents.
Bespoke RAMS were created to accommodate the needs of residents and staff and the most appropriate routes for cabling were identified across a large estate. Working closely with care staff to co-ordinate the works in order to avoid disruption or distress to residents, DSA Electrical installed the wiring and data cabling to facilitate installation of an acoustic monitoring system. This included a data cabinet and 80 data cables to 40 rooms occupied by dementia patients.
The client was delighted with the installation which went smoothly and was delivered on time and on budget.
